About Us

Established in 1761. Making an impact today.

Celebration

of diversity

We are a group of people who strive to love the Lord our God and one another. We come from a variety of different backgrounds but what binds us together is our commitment to becoming better followers of Jesus Christ. As Episcopalians our worship is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer. We firmly hold that what we pray is what we believe, and this shapes how we live.

How can we help you?

We are committed to meeting you where you are and walking with you so that we grow together and share the love of God with the wider community. At Trinity, you are free to explore your faith journey with people who are encouraging and embracing, no matter where you find yourself.

Located

in the heart of Portsmouth

Trinity is the oldest church in Portsmouth, founded in 1761, and given a prominent place on Church Square by Colonel William Crawford, who laid out the city. Located at the corner of High and Court streets, our congregation reflects and embraces the diversity of the city. While Trinity is aware of its past, it also fully embraces its future as a house of prayer for all God’s people.
